Spring Snow Goose Hunting

Our South Dakota spring snow goose hunts can be amazing to say the least. This is the spot in the northward migration where the bottle neck forms. The migrating spring snow geese that call the central and Mississippi flyways home are squeezed into the eastern 1/3 of South Dakota. There are times when as far as you can see there will be Snows, Blues and Ross geese heading north, and on the right day this will last for most all of the day.

These South Dakota spring snow goose hunts take place during the month of March. While hunting snow geese in South Dakota, you will be hunting out of layout blinds in harvested cornfields. We have been hunting South Dakota spring snow geese in these same areas successfully since 2003. Over the years we have found several areas that always have produced great hunting. If you have never seen the spring migration this is your chance, just seeing all of the waterfowl that migrate north in the spring to get back to the tundra is nothing short of breathtaking.

While on your South Dakota spring snow goose hunt, you will have the chance to harvest Snow geese, Blue geese, and Ross geese.To get your license you can go directly to The non-resident spring snow goose license is $52


Standard South Dakota Spring Snow Goose Hunting Rates:

Our hunts are set up as a two and a half day package. This allows you enough time in the field which increases your chances. For your own field you need 6 people and you can have up to 8 in each field. Dogs are only allowed if you have your own field.

Arkansas, South Dakota, North Dakota
$595 per person - 2 ½ day hunt package
$225 per day – Daily rate

Half down is due within 2 weeks of booking your hunt. The second half is due by January 15th for Arkansas hunts, and February 1st for South Dakota and North Dakota hunts.

One member for each group will have to be chosen, that person will be the main contact for any questions from the group, and will also be the person that will collect the deposits from the group and send them in.

*South Dakota and North Dakota hunts require sales tax of 5.5%

The two and a half day hunt package that includes guide, decoys. Electronic caller, layout blinds, private leased land, and anything required for the hunt to take place.

**NOT INCLUDED lodging, meals, transportation, licenses, ammunition, and gratuity.

***If you bring 8 guys for you field there will be a $50 dollar per person discount.


What to bring

- Knee boots or waders it always is a little wet in the spring
- For a 3 day hunt we suggest 8-10 boxes of 12 gauge 3” BB’s
- Cleaning supplies as well as a cooler for transporting your game home
- Snacks and drinks (NON-ALCOHOLIC) that you may need during the day
- A good attitude and a sense of humor. Hunting snow geese is hard work and they are long days, sometimes the action is non-stop other days can be slow. Remember it is hunting
